Nickel is one of the main materials for electric vehicle batteries, the market price of nickel has continued to rise sharply, even up to four to six times in recent years. 

Nickel mining players in Indonesia are starting to compete to claim their mining lands for immediate exploration. This led to a struggle for mining land, even involving security forces who were used as backing in disputes over nickel mining land.

 The smell of nickel mines in Indonesia has become even more fragrant since the increase in global sales of electric vehicles, especially in Indonesia. Even Elon Musk as the owner of the Tesla car manufacturer revealed that world nickel prices are getting crazier and the prices for electric vehicles will also continue to increase. Indonesia as one of the world's largest nickel producers cannot be separated from the vortex of world nickel trade.
